#31DayReset Day 17: List 100 Things That Make You Happy

Today’s exercise is about reminding yourself of what you want to see more of in your life. Today, you will make a list of 100 things that make you happy. The idea is that by verbalizing them, you will consciously (or subconsciously) seek them out more often.

What makes you happy? What kinds of things, people, activities, music, memories, places, foods, smells, make you feel alive? Sit down for about half an hour and come up with a list of 100 things. I know, it sounds like a lot, but once you get going, you realize that there are actually hundreds of things that make you happy! Nothing is too small or silly to put on this list. It’s YOUR list. Don’t think. Just write. Whatever first comes to mind will be real and true for you.

Oh, and below is a link to my list. I made it a while back and most of it still holds true. I often refer back to it when I need a pick-me-up or a reminder of all the little things I want to experience in my life.

  2. I didn’t know so many things made me happy. I had to really think about life everyday and tthhe few and far between things that I did.

    I love food, desserts, shopping, and many other things. They all make me very happy. I’ll give 5 from my list
    Mark Wahlberg movies
    Lipgloss
    New socks
    Good Bras
    Kisses
    Flowers
    Road trips
    Fragrant candles
    Amusement Park Food (dipping dots/turkey legs)
    Carvel Ice Cream cake
    Michigan
    Movie theaters
    New shoes.

  4. I need to constantly remind myself of the little things around me that I am grateful for. Here are a few that make me happy:

    * breathe
    * family
    * boyfriend
    * books
    * warm California weather
    * living within walking distance of the ocean
    * funnel cake! (with powdered sugar only of course)
    * dogs
    * flannel sheets
    * cozy pajamas
    * water
    * flowers
    * a clean house
    * grapes
    * telephones
    * paper and pencils
    * arts & crafts
    * my watch
    * clip-on earrings!
    * a job
    * my beach cruiser & my sports bike
    * my camera

  5. As I was writing this list I smiled. It really showed me how much I love and appreciate my life. It’s the little things that make me happy. I loved this exercise, it made my day! :)
