My girl Tamara Rasberry at Ms. Rasberry’s World has a great saying that I often think of when I wake up in the morning to remind myself that I have full control over who I am and how I behave at any given moment.
“Be who you want to be today.”
Here’s how Tamara explains the concept:
I end all of my posts with “Be who you want to be today” which refers to presenting yourself as the person you want to be, even if you’re not quite there yet.
I believe that most people want to be good, loving, productive members of society. So I say “Be who you want to be today,” as a reminder to appreciate who you are in the moment; respect who you are in the moment; but strive to be who you want to be.
Our stories are unfolding everyday. We’re all works in progress. So let’s progress.
I can feel myself progressing into the person I want to be. With each day, I’m growing as a person in my clarity, confidence and courage to do all the things I want to in my life. I hope you are, too.
What do you think of Tamara’s concept? Is it a mantra that could help you in your day to day?

Rosetta, thanks so much. First, for reading my blog and second, for shouting out my little personal statement of positivity. I literally have to remind myself of this everyday.
