This post is Day 31 of the 31 Days to Reset Your Life Challenge for 2011. Learn more and sign up for the program here.
Yes, it’s really the last day of the 31 Day Reset! Thank you for being a part of the community. Today, you have a great opportunity to build yourself a reminder of all your goals and dreams by creating a vision board. A vision board is a powerful visualization tool that you can create as inspiration for your journey toward your ideal life. Some people refer to it as a “dream board.” No matter what you call it, it’s basically a collage of pictures and quotes that serve to remind you of your passion and purpose way beyond this program. But don’t worry, you don’t have to be an artist to make one!
Estimated Time to Complete: 60-90 minutes
Today’s exercise will require you to assemble some art supplies. You’ll need:
- a cork board, posterboard or small canvas
- some magazines
- markers or paint
- some thumbtacks, pins, glue or tape
Step 1:
Cut out images from magazines (or draw your own) that represent your ideal life narrative, your personal mission statement or simply inspire you.
Step 2:
Paste or tack the images on your corkboard, posterboard or canvas.
Step 3:
Use your markers or paint to write your personal mantra or other favorite quotes onto your vision board.
Step 4:
If you like, frame your vision board and hang it on your wall. Make sure you display your vision board somewhere you’ll see it everyday and be inspired!
An alternative:
You can also create your vision board online with the O Dream Board program from Oprah.com. I haven’t used it yet myself, but it looks like a cool way to utilize technology to put together your vision board. Plus, it’s free!
Take Action and Reflect: When you’re done, please share a photo of your vision board in the comments! How did you feel as you were putting it together? If you blogged about today’s assignment, please post the link in the comments so we can read it!

This was a great way to finish the program. Arts and crafts really do a lot to help ease my mind, and I love having a physical representation of all I want to accomplish and live for right there on my wall. Thanks, Rosetta, for a wonderful 31-day experience that I know helped prepare me for the next phase in my life (conveniently beginning tomorrow–or really, today, because I’ve changed already).
I want to echo everyone’s sentiments and say THANK YOU to Rosetta for putting together such a wonderful program. I’m sad that it’s over! Please read my blog to see my final thoughts and a photo of my vision board.

Can’t believe it’s the end already, but it’s not sad because it feels like a beginning, I’m actually excited about what’s to come. I made a vision board about halfway through the 31 days so mine is up already but i do have a few things to add so I’ll be doing that tonight.
This is such an wonderful program so thank you for that Rosetta and I hope all the ladies that have participated have gotten something positive out of it, i know I have and things have already been happening so I’m excited about that. I wish you all the best and continued success moving forward!
I created a visualization slideshow a few years back, and recently I starte to revamp my slideshow to be more in alignment with the goals I have now. I definitely want to try out Oprah’s program!
Thank you so much Rosetta for such an amazing program! The updated version is so awesome! I definitely plan to revisit this every few months. It’s a great measurement to see how far you’ve come over time.
