Moscato and a Mixtape

Ever since I was 12 years old, I’ve loved wine. Wait. That didn’t sound right. Let me explain.

Every year at Christmas, my grandfather would buy a case of wine for everyone to drink during the holiday festivities. He would pour everyone a glass, even the kids. Well, what we actually got was about a tablespoon of wine in our glasses. Just so we could feel like we were celebrating, too. I was so picky about what I ate and drank, I would’ve expected to hate wine as a kid. But as far back as I can remember, I’ve loved the taste.

As I got nearer to drinking age, I developed a preference for white wines. When I got the opportunity to visit Paris as a sophmore in college, I couldn’t wait to see the city – and drink wine – legally! I fell in love with the rosé they served in the restaurants as aperitifs. Over the years, I added Riesling to my list of favorites as well. And then I found out about Moscato. Really, really cold Moscato. A few glasses of the sweet and slightly bubbly dessert wine always hits the spot for me. Give me some Moscato and a mixtape and I’m good for the night. Good.

    Nothing wrong with that!

I had a Riesling obsession a few years ago. This post has my mouth watering for a nice cool glass…

Enjoy and have a great evening :-)
