It’s been a fascinating four days so far on the 31 Days to Reset Your Life Challenge. There are over 100 women participating in this challenge from all over the world, with more joining every day! Beyond this blog, there are several other ways you can keep up with the challenge:
- Follow the 31 Days to Reset Your Life participants on Twitter

- Join our Happy Black Woman community on Facebook
- Read the 31 Days to Reset Your Life participants’ blogs
Here are the assignments we’ve completed so far (read the comments for the responses and some of the blog posts for each exercise):
- Reset Your Life Day 1: Start Here (78 comments)
- Reset Your Life Day 2: Conduct a Life Assessment (61 comments)
- Reset Your Life Day 3: Identify Your Values (48 comments)
- Reset Your Life Day 4: Envision Your Values in Action (17 comments)
I was so inspired by the mantras that were shared on Day 1, that I wanted to pull out a few of my favorites that might resonate with you as well.
Amanda: “…and then the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” -Anais Nin
Sharon: “I choose to LIVE.”
Halona: “I follow the way of love.”
Jeannie: “Action is the antidote to despair” – Joan Baez
Jackie: “The best way to predict your future is to create it.” – Peter Drucker
LaToya: “My time is limited and I will not allow the noise of others’ opinions drown out my own inner voice. I will have the courage to follow my heart and intuition.”
Kim: “It’s time for you to move, realizing that the thing you are seeking is also seeking you.” – Iyanla Vanzant
And here are just a few of the notebooks that participants chose as a powerful tool to document their “reset” journey. I hope it’s OK to share the photos here since they were posted to the comments and Twitter!

It’s only Day 5 and I’m amazed at the level of self-reflection that’s happening within the group! Thanks for being a part of the journey. I’m right here walking it with you.

All of those mantras are really powerful and inspirational! That Anais Nin quote always does it for me, but those others ones are just as awesome! Looking forward to more…
