  6. I am passionate about helping, encouraging, and facilitating health/wholeness (physical, mental, spiritual) in children, teens, and women. I have a bachelor’s and master’s in Health, P.E., and Recreation/Sport as well as a doctoral degree in the allied/alternative health field, but I’m not practicing b/c right now my heart is at home with my two young children. I’ve really been battling with ‘just getting a job’ vs. being fully present with my family and actually loving what I do. I’ve been doing a 100 Day Manifestation Challenge and this was an area at the top of my list. Hallelujah a friend suggested this site; I’m excited about putting these ideas/feelings into action!

  10. I am so glad that I found your blog. I have been wanting to start a side hustle, but felt like I had so many things that maybe I would want to do. I didn’t know how to pick a focus and your post has helped me with that. I don’t have to do everything. Just do the one that means the most to me. Thanks for sharing your story. It has helped me a lot.

    • Thanks for stopping by, Beth! I do hope you’re able to get started soon – that’s when you’ll *really* begin to realize what it is you really want to do.

  11. Another excellent post! This is great because it really gets you to look at your passions, that being your motivating factor – not solely the focus on money. You’re also giving us a concrete way of finding that intersection of what we love to do, what we’re good at, and who would be interested in what we have to offer. As a newbie freelance writer, I’m still working on finding my sweet spot. This post has really helped a lot in getting closer to finding it. Thanks again!

    • Oh yes, when it comes to my sweet spot, again, I’m still working on finding that. I have so many interests! I love writing, finding information and sharing it with others, children and families, spirituality, Africana studies, becoming a better person, natural hair. I like being in service to others — folks say I’m really good at listening and helping them to figure out what they need to do and do it. See? I love everything. That’s why I love being a writer, because I have the opportunity to learn new things, explore different spaces. I wonder how I could condense all of that into a single sweet spot. : )

      • Writing is the ultimate side hustle that way – if you get paid to write for different publications, all your interests get fed :)

  12. Is laying by the pool a Side Hustle???

Ok, no, just kidding. (However that was my first answer to the Lottery Test). Hmmm, what would I do for free? Read. I know that sounds crazy, but it just lights my fire. I am currently an English teacher, but I don’t think that’s what I want to do forever. But I DO love literature, especially delving into literature to search for theme relating to the design, role and any societal-implications surrounding women. And I love to write and discuss those ideas.

How would I make a side hustle out of that? That is the million dollar question. I’m currently blogging and I’m hopeful that I will find my way. :)

Thanks again Rosetta for giving us good content!

    • We have a lot in common – I really majored in English with the hopes that someone would pay me to read LOL. With your blog, though, you could make a *little* side money reviewing books with your Amazon affiliate links. Or write your own books + sell them digitally on Amazon for Kindle like a lot of writers are doing these days.
