“Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won’t, so that you can spend the rest of your life like most people can’t.” — Unknown
I’m writing this post from my hotel room in San Diego, California where I’ve been for the past few days for an awesome training and networking event with my business mentor, Lisa Sasevich. I’m a lifelong learner and strongly believe in surrounding yourself with people who have already “made it” to where you want to be in life!
It was such an honor to share the stage with my mentor and peers to tell my authentic story of not only what I’ve been able to accomplish in my business, but why teaching women how to live lives of happiness, success and freedom is so important to me.
One of the questions I was asked on the panel was, if I knew THEN, what I know NOW, what tip or piece of advice would I give to other entrepreneurs to help them move forward?
Here’s what I said:
Don’t let your short-term fears keep you from fulfilling your long-term legacy.
What I meant by that is we all go through feelings of doubt and worry when it comes to building our businesses. You may feel scared to put yourself out there because you don’t want to fail. On the flip side, you may procrastinate on your business goals because deep down, you’re terrified of what might happen if you actually succeed.
It’s normal to be afraid of the unknown. The problem is, if you don’t take action in spite of your fear, nothing will happen. You will never fulfill the purpose that you were meant for. And you will never, ever know what you’re truly capable of.
In the spirit of possibility, I’d like to invite you to join me in being brave enough to follow your dreams. If I had never taken the leap to get my business off the ground, I never would have been able to double my salary from my last job and be able to enjoy a location-independent lifestyle!
If you’re READY to finally start getting paid to do what you love…but you just don’t know where to start, I’m here for you. It would be an honor to help you launch, relaunch or grow your business in 2015!
