I’m slowly coming to terms with the fact that it’s officially fall.
Here in San Diego, the sun is rising later and the nights are getting cooler.
Next month, I will be moving across the country with my honey bun to Virginia (he’s in the military and this is his next duty station!), where fall is the most beautiful season. I love watching the leaves change colors.
For me, fall has always been a season of letting go.
It might seem like the leaves are “falling” from the trees.
But technically, the trees are actually “letting go” of the leaves.
I read recently that the reason why leaves fall off trees is so that the trees can survive the winter and then be able to grow new leaves in the spring.
Which is a wonderful metaphor for what so many of us are experiencing this season, myself included.
I am feeling called to shed my old leaves and grow new ones in their place. I am being led to release what is no longer serving me in order to create my next level.
This is your reminder that fall can be whatever you want it to be for you.
It can be a season of reflection.
It can be a season of transformation.
It can be a season of change.
Whatever it is, let it be a season that doesn’t just pass you by.
